	osmo country colour interior & exterior eco paint for wood 0.75 litre Made from natural plant oils, Osmo Country Colour gives a microporous, paint-like finish but has the simplicity and ease of application of a wood stain. Needs no primer or undercoat - can be applied direct to bare wood. Penetrates into the wood - allows wood to breathe and will not crack, flake, peel or blister. Opaque - you cannot see the wood grain through it, but you an still see the texture of the grain. Ideal for external window frames, doors, wooden cladding, plus other external and internal woodwork. Apply two coat allowing 12 hours between coats. If you are redecorating externally, according to OSMO's instructions you should remove previous non microporous finishes completely (i.e. strip to bare wood). However, if you can't strip back to bare wood (not always practical in the real world!) in practice Country Colour does adhere very well to other paint if it has been lightly sanded, though OSMO would not guarantee the results. This finish is VERY durable and thoroughly tried and tested. It has been used for decades in the harshest conditions including salt spray, and we have been using it at Redfield for nine years on 80+ sash windows and it has been standing up to the weather exceptionally well. Coverage is exceptional too, making it extremely economical in use. One litre covers 16m2 with two coats. Touch dry in 30 - 60 minutes, allow 3 hours between coats. Suitable for exterior or interior use. Gives an opaque paint-like finish (i.e. you can't see through to the grain) except for those colours that are marked 'transparent', which are more like wood stains, in that they do let the grain show through. A clear wood preservative suitable for timber that is not in direct contact with the ground (e.g. window frames and doors etc, but not fence posts).
