	cedar shingles (pack covering 2.2 sq metres) Sawn red cedar roofing shingles. Produced in Cornwall from local Western Red Cedar grown in FSC certified woodlands. The shingles in the photo are on a new roof - with exposure they will go silver grey within a year. Recommended roof pitch is 45 degrees, with a breather membrane and battens at 6" centres, or with sarking board. Dimensions and fixing: · Length 450mm · Width varies 125mm to 175mm · Thickness 15mm tapering to 2mm · Recommended fastenings 40mm copper clouts or stainless steel ring shank nails. . When dry, weight is approximately 10KG per square metre. Price is per pack (2.2 square metres per pack, approximately 36 shingles per square metre, approx 79 shingles per pack).
