Everything you need to know about growing fruit!

This course is taught by Ian Sturrock and aims to give a thorough overview of all aspects of growing fruit. 

The course will centre around apple trees in particular and will look at grafting, choice of rootstocks, correct planting and the correct way to do winter and summer pruning. 

General maintenance of your fruit tree or orchard and rejuvenating old orchards will also be covered.

The course will include a tour of the fruit growing areas and Ian's commercial fruit tree nursery. 

Please wear sturdy footwear and provide for protection from the weather
