one-day course

spoon carving (developers)

location: Tower Hamlets, London

Building on spoon carving (beginners) course which is also on offer, this developers course is an opportunity to gain a much wider understanding of green woodwork.

Learning in a small group of no more than six people, you will be able to work on a variety of different projects from eating spoons to ladles, and spoons made from bent branches.

The cours is flexible, and if you book two Sunday courses you will have time to complete longer projects of your own. For example if you'd like to refurbish an old axe head, carve a new handle for it, and fit it, this would be possible over the course of two Sundays because the green wood axe handle would have time to dry in between.

The courses are lead by Barn - a respected Green Woodworker and professional Spooner with extensive teaching experience. These courses are for adults only but are appropriate for the beginner and those with a little experience that wish to hone their skills.
