willow baskets


location: nr Bath, NE Somerset

The workshop will offer participants and chance to make a basket from start to finish, explore the variety of willow available, learn about the tools, and experiment with unique wooden additions such as handles or decorative elements. Possible uses for these basket vary from bread baskets, fruit bowls, log basket, waste basket, and more


The tutor is Kamar Finn, an artist and art teacher working in Bristol. She runs workshops both for teenagers and adults in Basket Making, Felt Making, Sculpture drawing, painting and more. Much of the content of the workshop is inspired by the ethos of working with crafts as an educational and therapeutic tool. More information about this will be available during the course of the workshop for those interested.
