one-day course
permaculture gardening |
This one-day course introduces permaculture design principles, and will give participants an insight into permaculture applications - especially in the garden. We will explore the core ethics of permaculture, discuss some of permaculture's main principles, carry out an observation exercise, a mini design exercise and an implementation activity. You'll also get to see a short film called 'permaculture in practice'.
We want you to go away and make beautiful, productive and wildlife-friendly gardens.
This course will help you:
- develop an understanding of the permaculture approach to gardening and its applications to your life more widely
- understand more about nature and how it can inspire and shape our attitude towards gardening
- look at nature in a different way by carrying out 2 observation methods
- gain confidence in starting to design by giving you an overview of the step-by-step process that permaculture designers use
- understand some of the common permaculture methods in gardening
