three-day course

how to set up a low-impact smallholding

location: nr Bridport, Dorset

With Simon Fairlie and Jyoti Fernandes.

Everything you wanted to know about starting a smallholding as well as a tour of some of the area's finest, this course combines the planning and administrative considerations with the practical concerns and somehow manages to keep the dream alive.

Scythe importer and grass management enthusiast, Simon Fairlie, heads Chapter 7 of The Land is Ours and The Land magazine (among other things).

Jyoti Fernandes of nearby Fivepenny Farm has worked with Simon for years on all of the above and recently set up the Peasant Evolution Producers' Co-op for area smallholders and supporters.
