Hulme Community Garden Centre is about a mile and a half south of the city centre.
by bicycle or walking
From Piccadilly station: exit the station towards the taxi rank, which brings you out onto Fairfield Street. At the traffic light junction cross over to Whitworth Street and follow this until you come to Oxford Road. Turn left into Oxford Road. Go down Oxford Road and under the Mancunian Way, until you come to Cavendish Street on your right. Follow Cavendish Street (via the cycle and pedestrian path under MMU halls of residence) until it turns into Stretford Road. Follow this road until you come to Old Birley Street on the left. HCGC is about 100 metres down Old Birley Street, on the right.
by bus
86 direct to Old Birley Street or 46 & 85 to Asda on Greenheys lane west (see map). Buses leave from Piccadilly station - the exit is the other end of the station from the taxi rank.
by car
from city centre get onto M57 (M) The Mancunian Way then onto A5103 Princess Road. Turn right at Hulme Asda, then right onto Old Birley Street.
From the south - come off the M60 at Junction 5 onto the A5103 Princess Road heading towards Manchester. Turn left at Hulme Asda (on the corner of Greenheys Lane West), then right onto Old Birley Street. Plenty of easy parking next to the centre.
