Byker Metro station is 5 minutes walk, and Manors Metro station is 10 minutes walk (see map). Loads of buses - 1, 2, 12, 22, 39, 40, 62 and 63 from the city centre stop at Byker Bridge, then it's 5 minutes walk down the hill.
