weekend course

dyeing and weaving

location: Llanidloes, Powys, Wales

A weekend workshop in natural dyeing. We will create red, blue and yellow using madder, indigo and onion skins. The following day will be spent weaving on a Brinkley loom using plant dyed wools.

Tutor, Jane Meredith, is a professional weaver from the banks of the River Wye in Herefordshire.

Accommodation on the farm is in shared yurts (with beds)! It's simple, comfortable and beautiful but not luxurious or en-suite. If you have problems with mobility or need a single room please let us know. It is also possible to bring your own tent for £6 per person per night (pay on the weekend).
