| This is a practical hands-on course. No prior knowledge is necessary as participants will be introduced to the basic theory and practice of working with lime. Learn about the reasons for using lime, mixing lime mortars, renders and plasters. You will then have the opportunity to practice your new-found skills on a straw bale building on the farm. Course tutor Jonno Farey is a traditional builder by background and specialises in lime based projects. Please wear suitable outdoor clothing and footwear as this course is based outside. We advise using gloves as lime can be a skin irritant. more
