venue: Martineau Gardens, Birmingham“We are born from the earth, we return to the earth, and in between, we garden...” anonymous. Your garden is your chance to create a little piece of paradise - somewhere to relax, entertain, connect with the seasons and wildlife, and to be inspired. The art of gardening provides unlimited opportunity to deepen ecological awareness and develop an understanding of our place within the web of life. Permaculture is a contemporary model for realising the potential of the ecological human being, an archaic revival of indigenous memory so to speak. This course will focus on introducing the permaculture concept and how it can help us to embody sustainable design through working with natural systems. The provisional structure of the day will be as follows:
This course is facilitated by David Parry, permacultural earth-steward working towards his diploma in Applied Permaculture Design. All are invited to bring open hearts and bountiful imaginations to join in this circle-of-learning to provide an inspiring and enjoyable day exploring the inherent gifts of the permaculture approach. There will be plenty of group work to digest course material throughout the day and an abundance of information and resource sheets to take home as an invitation to deepen understanding. dates: see 'book online' below
