introduction to forest gardening


venue: the Middlewood Trust, Lancashire

Come & learn the theory & principles of how to design your own food producing forest garden, including layering, mulching, appropriate selection of trees, shrubs & ground covers for your situation.

Whether you have a small back garden or acres of land the principles can be applied to your situation.

We will be able to learn from observing & having practical experience in the established Middlewood forest garden.

Course runs from 10am to 5pm Saturday and Sunday, and you can arrive Friday evening if you like.

Bring work clothes and stout footwear. Lunch will be provided each day.

Bring your own food for evening meal and breakfast; cooking facilities and cutlery/crockery are available in our bunkhouse.

Bunk house, yurt accommodation, plus camping available. Bring a sleeping bag.
