one-day course

nature awareness and connection day

location: nr Moretonhampstead, Devon

Ideal for all those who wish to deepen their relationship with nature, this day course offers a taste of some of the skills covered in the Nature Connection weekend covering all the sensory techniques, ways of movement and an introduction to bird language, the day will not include the wild foods and medicines, tracking skills or fire by friction demonstration that are on offer in the weekend course.

Inspired by many indigenous communities from around the world, learn how to move through the natural landscape in a way that enables you to blend into the environment around you and have closer encounters with wild animals, learn how to use your senses to their true potential, and read the concentric rings of nature.

Take home a tool kit of practical skills, techniques, games, sensory awareness, and other ancient technologies that can be passed on to friends and family to help us all re-connect with the natural world.

The tutor Ollie Hornbeam has lived in an off-grid, low impact community for three years.
