Tutor Pippa Scott has lived in the hills of mid-Wales for 32 years, keeps bees and grows vegetables. She has made baskets for 12 years, practises willow growing and harvesting , is involved in living willow projects for gardens and schools and also makes willow coffins and coracles.
 
In this basketmaking workshop you will become familiar with the wonderful nature of willow as a material. You will learn traditional techniques for making square baskets, practice borders and handles and learn about the growing, harvesting and preparation of willow for use. The course is suitable for beginers and those with some experience.

The non-residential price includes materials, lunches and refreshments; the residential price includes accommodation in shared (single-sex) rooms or yurt (please bring sleeping bag), plus all meals. Free camping also available.

Residential participants can arrive from 5pm on Friday, with an evening meal at 7pm.
