green woodworking - pole lathe making

venue: Old Chapel Farm, Powys, Wales

On this two-day pole lathe course, tutor Tony Eames takes you through the basic construction of two pole lathe designs, with instruction in basic turning techniques on the last day (time dependent).

Simple hand woodworking tools will be used (saw, brace and bit, bench plane, draw knife and shave horse).

All tools, materials and safety equipment will be provided, and participants get to take away a pole lathe that they have made.

The non-residential price includes materials, lunches and refreshments; the residential price includes accommodation in shared (single-sex) rooms or yurt (please bring sleeping bag), plus all meals. Free camping also available.

Residential participants can arrive from 5pm on Friday, with an evening meal at 7pm.
