one-day courseweaving scarves on looms |
location: nr Penrith, CumbriaDuring this course you will be able to make your very own scarf on a portable hand loom. Some looms will be set up to make Bubble Scarves (purple scarf top-right) while others will be Shibori (multicoloured scarves middle-right). The tutor Jan Beadle will bring the materials and expertise to share with you to make sure you have a Wonderful Weaving Day. Jan designs and makes contemporary woven textiles for fashion, interiors and accessories. Jan recently left the University of Cumbria where she was their Weaving Guru. Although specialising in weaving she also enjoys incorporating felting, knitting and many off loom techniques into her work. dates: see 'book online' below
