personnel

Dave Darby has taught English in Japan, lived in Ujamaa villages in Tanzania, cycled to Jerusalem and back, and hitch-hiked across the Outback. Dave is our director, looks after the website, factsheets, and helps run some courses. He doesn't have itchy feet any more, and can hardly find his way back home from Aylesbury.
Taryn Field organises our courses - she deals with telephone and email enquiries, takes bookings and 'meets and greets' course participants. She likes dancing salsa, tattoos, and talks to herself all the time when she's in the office (how we can stop her doing that?).
Peter Richardson has been a journalist, lecturer, carpenter, IT consultant and co-ordinator of the Milton Keynes Green Party. Peter built our online shop, and now runs it, as well as looking after our computer systems. Hates computers, loves gardening.
Lisa Kramer manages our finances and our office, and won't let us spend any money. She's also Redfield's treasurer and shepherdess. She prefers sheep to people, and loves Glastonbury, especially when it's muddy (not really).
Katrina McKenzie turned up to interview us about living in a community, for a university thesis she was writing. She got more than she bargained for, and now she's running our online bookshop. She likes piercings, and is really into books and reading, which is handy.
Scarlett Penn is our development manager and also the WWOOF contract manager. She comes to us from a science and waste management background, and we nicked her from the local council – she used to be our recycling officer. She likes chickens.
Alissa Pemberton has a CV impressively chequered with community development-type things, including founding an urban farm in Milton Keynes. She’s also done a stint with the local council and some freelance writing. She is now one half of the WWOOF co-ordination team.
Lindsay Gray is the other half - of the WWOOF team that is. Her romantic other half is Peter, above; they run the Funky Teapot cafe at Wolverton Farmers' Market. Lindsay hails from Gloucestershire where she lived on a permaculture farm and ran a theatre company.
Christiane Schmidt is the book-keeper for WWOOF. She and her husband Chris met whilst WWOOFing in New Zealand 19 years ago. They WWOOFed for Redfield in the early 90s, now have two children and have been happily living here ever since - a WWOOF love story.
Rick Watson is co-ordinating LILI courses in and around Sheffield, and manning our events stand at local authority events around the north of England. He used to live at Redfield, and now lives at the Quaker Community near Sheffield. He is also possibly the only West Ham fan in Yorkshire, but don't tell anybody.
