personnel

Dave Darby is our director. He has taught English in Japan, lived in Ujamaa villages in Tanzania, cycled to Jerusalem and back, and hitch-hiked across the Outback. He doesn't have itchy feet any more, and can hardly find his way back home from Aylesbury.
Taryn Field used to be our courses manager, and has now moved to the WWOOF team to be host secretary. She likes street dance, tattoos, and talks to herself all the time when she's in the office (how can we stop her doing that?). Here she is watering her sweetcorn.
Peter Richardson has been a journalist, lecturer, carpenter, IT consultant and co-ordinator of the Milton Keynes Green Party. Peter built our online shop, and now looks after our computer systems. Also runs Ethical Internet.
Katrina McKenzie turned up to interview us about living in a community, for a university thesis she was writing. She got more than she bargained for, and now she's running our bookshop. She likes piercings, and is really into books and reading, which is handy.
Scarlett Penn is the WWOOF contract manager. She comes to us from a science and waste management background, and we nicked her from the local council – she used to be our recycling officer. Here's Scarlett shovelling poo.
Christiane Schmidt is the book-keeper for WWOOF. She and her husband Chris met whilst WWOOFing in New Zealand 19 years ago. They WWOOFed for Redfield in the early 90s, now have two children and have been happily living here ever since - a WWOOF love story.
Elaine Koster is a member of the WWOOF team, and is also running our publishing department. She is a tai chi instructor, including dangerous stuff with swords. She's our flexible friend.
Sherry Kramer is our book-keeper, and Taryn's mum. She's had a career in financial management of large organisations, and now she's helping us. She's a wizard with figures, er, and here she is dressed as a witch.
James Dennis is a new-ish Redfield member who has been recruited into the WWOOF team to work on promotion. He's a nature-guy, and you can't beat him at flora and fauna identification. He's got a scythe hanging over his bed, as you do.
Sam Ryan is an Aussie who started volunteering with us a while ago, and is now working with Kat managing course bookings and the shop. He works 3 days a week for Sustrans and 2 days a week for us. Not the most flattering photo, but hey, it's the one he gave us.
Julia Minnear volunteers for us two days a week, uploading courses to the programme. She works three days a week for the Women's Environmental Network in London, and spends her free time drawing, writing, cooking and community food growing.
