round wood timber framing & consultancy

Would you like a traditional round wood timber building?

These natural structures are perfect for visitor centres, schools and gardens. Past commisions have been used as outdoor classrooms, studios and display spaces.

All these buildings are made the traditional way by hand using sustainably-harvested timber.

Around the world traditional communities build using natural materials. Many designs of simple beauty have evolved over generations; their elegance tells the story of people and their relationship to the land. Our structures continue in this tradition, which rekindles our relationship to the natural world.

We take regular commissions but also specialise in using the building process as a way of bringing people together to learn. Whether this be a local community group, schoolchildren, members of staff or volunteers, all can have a chance to get their hands dirty by working alongside our team.

Examples of some of the structures we can build:
earth lodge, subterranean, cruck frame, tipi, hogan, pagoda, A-frame, yurt, roundhouse, treehouse, bender, pole barn, bivouac, log cabin.

Building with natural materials is bespoke work. For a quote or further information on commissioned works please get in touch for a chat.
