Get ready for your garden in spring; Sweep away the last of the leaves with your hand-crafted traditional and most effective outdoor broom, the besom. Prepare yourself for summer harvests with garden supports for your vegetables and fruits.

On this course you will cover;

In the morning you will be introduced in to the traditional materials and methods required to make a besom.

The afternoon will be an introduction to working with willow, to create your garden supports.

This session will be taught by Alistair of Underwood crafts; founded in 2000 and based in Wirksworth, Derbyshire Alistair sources his materials from sustainably managed woodlands, coppicing and harvesting the materials he uses during the winter months.
