| This one-day course is designed for those who want to keep a few hens in the garden. In the morning, Francine will tell you about the merits of different breeds, the life-cycle, how best to house the birds, pests and diseases etc. She will bring some of her beautifully illustrated small books on the subject, and others, which will be for sale, plus other useful items for the hen-keeper. Mike & Carl Vince, breeders, will bring some of their exotic bantams and show you how to handle them. Tutor Francine Raymond has written, published and sold over 40,000 books on poultry and has appeared reluctantly on telly, radio and video. She has been giving courses for the past five years. dates: see 'book online' below
