one-day course

cooking with herbs and healthy eating traditions

location: Swanmore, Hampshire

This day will help you get to some of the many herbs used in cooking and also includes discussion of healthy eating and food balancing traditions from both East and West. There will be a chance to try making various herbal preparations – and eat some of them at lunch!

Course fees include: course folder, printed notes, teas, coffees, cold drinks, and lunch. Lunch includes a choice of salads, quiches, vegetarian options, cheese and fruit.

Tutor Penelope Ody has been exploring the fascinating world of herbs for almost 30 years, studying initially with the School of Phytotherapy in Kent, and also at the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Guangzhou, China. She practiced as a consultant medical herbalist in Buckinghamshire for 11 years whilst also writing regularly about herbs and editing The Herb Society’s various journals from 1988-1994.
