herbal creams & ointments

location: Swanmore, Hampshire

This is a practical workshop day making focusing on herbal remedies for external use including various creams, infused oils and ointments as well as production of simple
cosmetic products such as face creams, moisturisers shampoos and balms. At the end of the day everyone will have a collection of at least four herbal products that they
have made to take away.

Course fees include: course folder, printed notes, teas, coffees, cold drinks, and lunch. Lunch includes a choice of salads, quiches, vegetarian options, cheese and fruit.

Tutor Penelope Ody has been exploring the fascinating world of herbs for almost 30 years, studying initially with the School of Phytotherapy in Kent, and also at the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Guangzhou, China. She practiced as a consultant medical herbalist in Buckinghamshire for 11 years whilst also writing regularly about herbs and editing The Herb Society’s various journals from 1988-1994.
