planning your herb garden

This short course, early in the season, is designed as a general introduction to choosing, growing and harvesting herbs at home. It will cover the types of herbs to grow, which ones to gather from the wild, identification, drying and storage as well as basic herb garden design and propagation with opportunities to gather and pot-up your own choice of cuttings.

Course fees include: course folder, printed notes, teas, coffees, cold drinks.

Tutor Penelope Ody has been exploring the fascinating world of herbs for almost 30 years, studying initially with the School of Phytotherapy in Kent, and also at the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Guangzhou, China. She practiced as a consultant medical herbalist in Buckinghamshire for 11 years whilst also writing regularly about herbs and editing The Herb Society’s various journals from 1988-1994.
