two-day course

dry stone walling

venue: Ty Mawr Lime, Powys, Wales

The two-day course covers the same areas as the one-day course, but provides considerably more time for supervised practical hands-on work.

It will start with an introductory talk that covers the history and geology of dry stone walls as well as the principles of construction.

The tutor will then run through every step of taking down and rebuilding an existing wall including setting foundation stones, building the wall and finishing with coping stones. Each participant will have their own section of wall to build under supervision.

The course is ideal for beginners and entusiasts.
