Redfield Community, BucksRedfield is LILI's home, and has been an intentional community since 1978. It is a registered housing co-op with 18 acres, just outside the town of Winslow in Bucks. It is home to usually between 15-20 adults (including some of LILI's staff) and around 10 kids. LILI has been running courses in the stable block since 2001. |

Unstone Grange, nr. SheffieldUnstone Grange is a large country house with 5 acres of organic gardens, in the village of Unstone, about 5 miles south of Sheffield. They have been hosting a range of courses and retreats for many years, and from 2008, will be hosting weekend courses in partnership with LILI in the north of England. |

Hackney City Farm, LondonFor over 20 years, Hackney City Farm has been giving people in the heart of the city the opportunity to experience farm animals and participate in a range of practical courses. Free admission, and fantastic cafe too. From 2008, LILI will be running one-day courses in their beautiful new lime-rendered straw-bale building. |

Heeley City Farm, SheffieldHeeley City Farm is situated in the heart of Sheffield, and its visitor centre, children's playground, garden centre, farm cafe and gift shop are open every day from 9.30 to 5 (4.30 in the winter). We are running one-day courses here in partnership with the South Yorkshire Energy Centre - also based at Heeley City Farm. |

Ecclesall Woods Sawmill, SheffieldSituated in the heart of Ecclesall Woods, the largest ancient woodland in South Yorkshire. It has recently come under the City Council ownership, with woodland craft workshops, art gallery, school visits and educational facilities. There is a wooden shingle-clad building and the most beautiful compost toilet you've ever seen. |

Ragmans Lane Farm, Forest of DeanRagmans Lane is a 60 acre farm run on permaculture principles and employing three people. The farm is primarily about educating and employing people to work the land sustainably, giving them the opportunity to 'learn on the job', as well as producing wholesome food for local markets. |
