Profile:
Greystoke Cycle Cafe is a family run Tea Garden on the Coast to Coast route near Penrith in the Lake District. You will find homemade cordials, tray bakes and hearty home-cooked mains to keep your wheels rolling, as well as plenty of hot drinks. For the cold and weary cyclists we have a cyclists barn where you can recover with available towels, blankets, oil, bike pump, maps, spare inner tubes, and free juice for your bottles etc. Throughout the year we host a wide variety of Quirky Workshops, plenty of which are based around sustainable, low impact traditions of times past, including:
- Bush-craft, knife forging, and blacksmith days;
- Wooden Pole lathe turning; green woodwork, traditional bow making and furniture recycling courses
- Spinning courses, weaving courses, and rag rug courses;
- Bread and baking courses, cheese making, pattern cutting, lampshade making, leather working courses, bag making, felt making, and sewing courses;
- Jewelry making, letterpress printing, and bike maintenance
