    Profile:

The Centre for Community Journalism is part of Cardiff University's School of Journalism, Media and Cultural Studies. The University's Centre of Community Journalism is a flagship engagement project that delivers on the University's commitment to the communities of Cardiff, Wales and beyond. The Centre is aligned with the University’s Civic Mission by supporting the development of community news hubs in Wales as well as offering advice and guidance for hyperlocals in the UK and around the world. Our Making News Toolkit for schools project is part of Cardiff University’s wider key strategy to work with educational partners and all schools in Wales to support teachers to work towards improved educational attainment. Since being set up in 2013, the Centre has trained thousands of learners both on and offline.

There’s a crash coming – a slap from Mother Nature. This isn’t pessimistic; it’s realistic.

The human impact on nature and on each other is accelerating and needs systemic change to reverse.

We’re not advocating poverty, or a hair-shirt existence. We advocate changes that will mean better lives for almost everyone.
