    Profile:

Talton Mill is a 30 acre smallholding nestled in an idyllic setting alongside the river Stour in rural Warwickshire 5 miles south of Stratford Upon Avon. It has been farmed by the Holberton family for over 60 years. Today, in addition to running our artisan cafe in The Mill Woodhouse, monthly Supper Club, giftware shop and various event venues, we sell our own home reared meat in our farm butchery. We rear our own free range cattle, pigs and chickens on the farm and produce free-range eggs from our laying hens as well as growing a crop of meadow hay to feed our animals through the winter. In addition to our fine meats, we also sell a range of homemade pies and soups homemade in our farm kitchen. If you are looking for a rustic escape, a countryside gathering or a party to celebrate a special occasion then Talton Mill in the heart of rural Warwickshire, is the right place for you. We can offer venues at Talton Mill for a variety of different special events from tea parties to family gatherings, weddings to field feasts, meetings to workshops, blessings to BBQ’s on our woodland island. Our range of venues provide the perfect opportunity for family and friends wanting to celebrate a festival-style event in the great outdoors. We fully cater for all our events at Talton Mill. You can find us in Newbold-on-Stour, just five miles south of Shakespeare’s Stratford Upon Avon (Postcode : CV37 8UG) Our Mill Woodhouse Cafe is open on a Friday and Saturday from 9.30am to 4.30pm. It is the perfect place to unwind whilst enjoying breakfast, brunch, lunch or afternoon tea. It is situated alongside the old mill stream amidst glorious countryside – tranquil and heavenly. Homemade cakes, Monsoon coffee, speciality teas and home cooked meals using our own farm reared meats await you. We also have a delightful giftware shop within the cafe selling a range of kitchen ware, pottery, artisan cards, candles and pictures. Our award winning artisan butchery is also situated on the farm and is open every Friday and Saturday from 9am to 4pm. We home rear our own chicken, beef and pork and source local lamb and game. We have been farming the land for 2 generations and have become renowned for the high quality of our meats throughout the county. We offer a number of craft workshops and courses on-site also.

There’s a crash coming – a slap from Mother Nature. This isn’t pessimistic; it’s realistic.

The human impact on nature and on each other is accelerating and needs systemic change to reverse.

We’re not advocating poverty, or a hair-shirt existence. We advocate changes that will mean better lives for almost everyone.
