Come for an educational and relaxing day out in nature, alone or with your family. Come as school or home ed groups or as a relief from your daily office life for some team building fun. We are a large campsite with plenty of extra accommodation options like yurts and shepherds huts. Bring your tent or rent one from us. Fire pits with grills provided for each group. Mid-week outside school holidays, we have a huge marquee and outdoor kitchen available with a large tipi and extra shelters for dining or workshops available for use. You could easily run an eco-conference here, or other corporate events wanting to change their ways and go eco, also other residential workshops and courses may find this space ideal. Compost loo’s and hot water washing up basins, plus extra showers, log deliveries and an on-site shop stocking local produce, limited wi-fi and power sockets available in the wet weather barn and lots of great places to eat and drink locally too. Book early to avoid disappointment.
All of our wonderful tutors are available for private hire for birthday parties or special events, using the facilities here or in another location of your choice.
Full day workshops on Foraging and wild herbalism run by two wonderful tutor’s, Anna Richardson and Lucinda Warner, plus there very special Women’s flower day, a treat for the mind, body and soul. Come and learn how to make a living willow seat to take home, a living willow structure for outdoor classrooms, shade or an obelisk to train your sweet peas with knowledgeable John Waller as your tutor. Basketry and wild pottery available with Ruby of Native hands, all made with foraged, local materials that can be re-created time again. Come stare at the stars with Olly and learn some basic Astronomy, with additional info to take home and get you stared on a new found interest.
We offer Bushcraft and nature connection workshops every Saturday between April – October for kids and families, come for just the day or bring your tent and stay the weekend or longer and upgrade to a locally made yurt or shepherds hut. Sessions range from wild fire making, shelter building, wild archery, nature craft, nature play, night games, ‘Bear’ Grylls survival challenge, Re-Wilding, whittling, primitive weapons, hunters and gatherers and family foraging and fire workshops.

Willow garden structure workshop

A day to make beautiful, functional garden structures. Learn some strong, reliable weaves to make obelisks, sweet pea frames, mini-hurdles and ‘sunflower’ plant supports…Come along to brighten up your garden, bring a friend or gift this day to a loved one.

Living willow structures
Saturday 21st November. 10am – 4.30pm. Cost is £60 per person
Learn the techniques to make living willow domes, tunnels, “twigloos” and “twigwams”, while building a structure here at WoWo. These structures will be a permanent fixture at wowo which you can visit and watch grow every time to return and you can then take these skills back to create the same structures in your own garden/school. You can pre-order materials from John after the course.
