‘Land for What?’ meeting in Leicester tomorrow (sorry for short notice, but it’s worth it)

‘Land for What?’ meeting in Leicester tomorrow (sorry for short notice, but it’s worth it)

Sorry for the ridiculously short notice, but if you’re interested in land issues, and have nothing on this weeked, this is really worth getting yourself to.

The Land Justice Network (formerly Land for What?) is a network of groups, individuals and networks who recognise the need to change the way land is owned, used, distributed and controlled in the UK.

For a full statement of aims and values please see Our Common Ground statement. You can see our provisional working structure here.

Please subscribe to our mailing list to stay in the loop. Our next network meeting is on Saturday 11th November 2017 in Leicester.

There is the possibility of a minibus coming up from Brighton via London. Please email [email protected] if you are interested, letting us know whether you’d prefer to go up Friday evening or Saturday morning.

Also worth dropping us a line if you can offer a car share or need assistance with travel costs (we have some budget to support expenses).

There’s a Three Acres And A Cow show at the same venue on the evening before if you fancy – https://threeacresandacow.co.uk/leicester-show – Friday 10th November.

Here is a little movie made about our last big get together in London; we hope this gives you a quick insight into what we’re about:

This is a brief introduction to some of the groups who started (this chapter of) the ball rolling and their reasons for being involved:

    We welcome questions.

There’s a crash coming – a slap from Mother Nature. This isn’t pessimistic; it’s realistic.

The human impact on nature and on each other is accelerating and needs systemic change to reverse.

We’re not advocating poverty, or a hair-shirt existence. We advocate changes that will mean better lives for almost everyone.
