WWOOF

WWOOFing

You could be haymaking, looking after animals, building, splitting logs, fruit picking, fencing, hedgelaying or gardening, like French WWOOFer Judith here. You could also be doing indoor work if the weather is bad.

Lowimpact.org handles the administration of WWOOF UK.

WWOOF stands for ‘World-Wide Opportunities on Organic Farms’. It started in the UK in 1971, and has since become international.

WWOOF is an organisation that links up individuals wanting to volunteer on organic farms and smallholdings with organic farmers and smallholders looking for volunteers – simple!

It’s a great opportunity to do healthy outdoor work, learn about farming and smallholding, pick up useful skills, spend time in beautiful surroundings, and meet interesting people.
