Intentional communities - magazines

Communities

Communities magazine is the magazine of the US Fellowship for Intentional Community, the primary resource for information, stories, and ideas about intentional communities—including urban co-ops, cohousing groups, ecovillages, and rural communes.

Communities also focuses on creating and enhancing community in the workplace, in nonprofit or activist organizations, and in neighborhoods. We explore the joys and challenges of cooperation in its many dimensions, and pass the wisdom on to you and your community.

Communes at Large Letter (CALL)

CALL is the magazine of the International Communes Desk in Tel Aviv. In order to promote the aims of the l.C.D., we publish a modest bi-annual journal (in the English language) under the above name. It contains articles, newspaper excerpts, notices and various information, culled from commune and community publications from all over the world. CALL is a paper about communities and by communities. The editor is a member of a young Israeli urban commune, accompanied by an editorial board of 2 kibbutz members. Like all living creatures, communes change over time. CALL likewise! From now on, there is no subscription fee! All you have to do in order to receive CALL regularly, is copy the form below and post it to our address. Please add a contribution – as much as you can afford – to help cover our expenses.

There’s a crash coming – a slap from Mother Nature. This isn’t pessimistic; it’s realistic.

The human impact on nature and on each other is accelerating and needs systemic change to reverse.

We’re not advocating poverty, or a hair-shirt existence. We advocate changes that will mean better lives for almost everyone.
